Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi Renew UAV Partnership to Support Continued Growth in Connected UAV Operations

Agreement renewal builds on an established commercial relationship supporting a growing number of commercial UAV programmes, active customer deployments and future growth in UAV and BVLOS operations

Fort Lauderdale, FL, 29th September 2026 – Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi , have renewed their UAV partnership, reinforcing an established relationship that is already supporting revenue-generating customer activity across the commercial UAV market.

The renewed agreement provides the commercial framework for the companies to continue working together to deliver managed satellite connectivity and communications solutions for uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) operators and service providers.

Rather than marking the start of a new relationship, the renewal reflects the progress already made between Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi and the increasing use of the combined proposition across a growing number of commercial UAV programmes.

Gotonomi provides ultra-compact, low-SWaP-C communications technology purpose-built for UAV and autonomous applications, enabling always-available, resilient connectivity for command and control, telemetry and mission-critical data, while Galaxy 1 provides the managed connectivity and service infrastructure required to provision, operate and support those services.

Together, the companies provide customers with an integrated approach spanning airborne communications hardware, satellite connectivity, service provisioning, remote monitoring and operational support.

The partnership is already underpinning commercial customer activity, with Gotonomi making significant use of Galaxy 1’s UAV platform and services to support multiple active customer deployments and a growing number of commercial UAV programmes. This activity demonstrates that the relationship has progressed beyond technology integration and evaluation into practical, revenue-generating customer operations. The renewed agreement provides both companies with the framework to build on that momentum, expand existing activity and scale the relationship as demand for resilient UAV connectivity continues to grow.

Galaxy 1’s UAV capabilities combine satellite connectivity with its IBIS provisioning and service management platform and RTM remote monitoring capabilities, supported by global network infrastructure and 24/7 operational support.

Together, these capabilities provide many of the fundamental building blocks required for the provision of managed Command and Control (C2) communications services. This includes the ability to provision and manage connectivity, monitor service performance and availability, maintain operational visibility, support customers on a 24/7 basis, and provide the network infrastructure through which critical UAV communications can be securely managed.

Combined with Gotonomi’s purpose-built airborne communications technology, this creates an increasingly comprehensive service environment capable of supporting C2, telemetry, tracking and other operational data communications, particularly where UAV operations extend beyond terrestrial network coverage.

As the UAV market progresses towards more scalable BVLOS operations, Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi see an opportunity to build on these capabilities and support the evolving requirements associated with C2 Communications Service Provider (C2CSP) provision. The renewed partnership provides a strong foundation from which both companies can continue developing the technical, operational and service capabilities required to support this next phase of commercial UAV operations.

Martyn Durrant, Chief Commercial Officer at Galaxy 1, said:

“This renewal is important because it reflects a partnership that is already delivering tangible commercial activity. Gotonomi is an active user of our UAV platform and services, and we are seeing the relationship translate into real customer opportunities and revenue-generating deployments.

“Renewing the agreement gives both businesses a strong foundation to build on what we have already achieved. As the UAV market moves towards more complex BVLOS operations and greater commercial scale, we see significant potential to grow together by combining Gotonomi’s airborne technology with Galaxy 1’s managed connectivity, provisioning, monitoring and operational capabilities.”

Matthew Hill, General Manager, Gotonomi, said:

“Our relationship with Galaxy 1 has grown well beyond a technology integration into a genuine commercial partnership, built around understanding and responding to the real needs of our customers. Renewing the agreement gives us a strong framework to continue developing those opportunities together and, importantly, to provide customers with the reliable connectivity and support they need as they move from evaluation and trials into sustained commercial UAV fleet operations.“

The renewal comes as commercial UAV operations increasingly require communications solutions capable of supporting aircraft beyond the reach of traditional terrestrial networks. Reliable connectivity, service management and operational visibility are becoming increasingly important as operators progress towards larger fleets and scalable BVLOS operations. With the partnership already supporting multiple active customer deployments, Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi are well positioned to apply their combined capabilities across a growing pipeline of commercial UAV programmes.

For Galaxy 1 and Gotonomi, the renewed agreement provides continuity for existing revenue-generating customer activity while creating a platform for further commercial expansion, additional customer deployments and continued development of the companies’ combined UAV proposition. It underlines the confidence of both organisations in the relationship and provides a strong commercial foundation from which to pursue the next phase of growth.
